These two babies will always have a home with me as long as they need it but when it comes to tring to get any kind of service for them i need a letter of evition and they want to know if they cook for them selves it all seems nuts to me .I work full time my husband works full time and to try and get anything for these children is like hitting a brick wall repeatedly.they wont help me with child care because she is not ont he list but she is licenced in the state of new york.they stablity in there there life but want me to put them in diffent childcare she has been going there since she was 13 months .Is anybody else out there that is finding the same thing as I am

Hi Patty!

I would definitely recommend calling the kinship program in Suffolk County, Kinship Connections (631-444-3160). It is actually staffed by grandparents, and they have a wonderful kinship network. It might help to have someone locally to talk to!

Best wishes to you.
