The Center for Elder Law & Justice is a non-profit civil legal services agency, providing free legal representation in eight Western New York counties. Most of our services are limited to seniors (60 years of age and older), but some of our services are available to disabled and low-income individuals as well.

Services Include:

• Kinship Care: https://elderjusticeny.org/services/kinship-care-legal-services-program/
  • The Kinship Care unit provides free legal advice and counsel to kinship caregivers of all ages Cattaraugus County.
  • Eligibility: Must be a resident of Orleans, Allegany, Chautauqua, or Wyoming Counties AND must be referred to Center for Elder Law and Justice (CELJ) by Orleans, Allegany, Chautauqua, or Wyoming County Office for the Aging (OFA).
  • Relative caregivers not in care of the child, or caregivers who already have legal support will not be eligible for CELJ’s kinship legal services.
