Community Connect is a resource and referral service for communities and families of New York City. Community Connect aims to increase awareness of opportunities and services available to New Yorkers. This resource is toll-free and is for all ages. DYCD Community Connect provides information and assistance to callers in over 180 languages.

Information includes topics such as:

• • After-school programs
  • Delinquency prevention and youth intervention programs
  • Employment
  • Recreation
  • Literacy / English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
  • Immigrant Services

• The City provides drop-in centers in every borough to provide services to runaway, homeless, and troubled youth under the age of 21 as well as their families. Referrals are available to:
  • Counseling
  • Mediation
  • Health treatment
  • Mental health treatment
  • Substance abuse treatment

Community Connect also offers crisis intervention for runaway and homeless youth.
