Family Ties is the region's only open access, Family Peer Support Organization.  We serve children and families in Westchester County affected by trauma, unmet behavioral health needs and other complex challenges. Thanks to our collaboration with our local County Departments of Community Mental Health, the Department of Social Services, the Youth Bureau, and the Office for Women, we are able to offer our support services regardless of income, insurance, immigration status, or diagnosis. We provide individual and group support, evidence-based parenting education, systems navigation assistance, as well as wraparound facilitation and connection to community resources.  All Family Ties programming is free, confidential, and available in both English and Spanish.  We believe that, with access to the right resources and support every family is able to thrive!!

Support Groups

Family Ties of Westchester, Inc.  offers a wide range of support groups which provide emotional support and real-world advice. All of the support groups are led by certified peers who have successfully navigated similar life events and who will work with caregivers to help strengthen and nurture their families.

Groups include:

  • Caregivers (in English and Spanish)
  • Early Childhood

The sessions cover, but are not limited to:

  • Learning effective discipline strategies and techniques
  • Developing positive and caring family relationships
