About this Program

Glow Family Support helps parents/caregivers connect with other parents who have a child experiencing social, emotional, developmental, medical, substance use, and/or behavioral challenges in their home, school, placement, and/or community. Caregivers are encouraged to build natural supports and resources, and connecting with other parents/caregivers with similar needs can reduce the stress and stigma associated with raising a child with special challenges. Glow Family Support empowers parents and caregivers to enhance their abilities to meet their family’s needs. Glow provides education and knowledge, which equip families to identify their strengths, needs, and resources to thrive in their home and community. Hillside’s service also includes individual mentoring and skill development, empowerment and education groups, and advocacy support.
