G.A. Family Services provides established Regional Permanency Center (RPC) services to Post-Adoption, Post-Guardianship, and Kinship Families. There is no cost to you for this service. At a glance, your family will be the driver of the RPC program; our agency will provide support, engage resources and service providers to assist your family holistically, where you feel it is required. The first step is for a RPC caseworker to complete a simple referral form with you, via a brief telephone conversation.  At that time, the caseworker will schedule a convenient time to meet with you to further explain our program and complete the initial intake paperwork. The caseworker will inquire about your family dynamics, as well as your family will identify various needs and goals that you are interested in accomplishing.

G.A.’s RPC program provides:

  • Linkage and Referral
  • Casework and Post-Adoptive Planning
  • Post-Adoption, Kinship & Post-Guardianship Counseling
  • Clinical and Psychiatric Services
  • Parent Training and Education
  • Family Support Group
  • Advocacy
  • Community Outreach
  • Transition Planning
  • 24/7 staff support through on-call phone
  • Community-Based Family Engagement Activities
  • Legal referrals and support

Support groups for caregivers/parents and simultaneous sessions for youth are held in the Jamestown area and West Seneca area Monthly. At least quarterly fun family engagement events for the whole family are held at no cost to the family and with RPC staff support in attendance (bowling, movie nights, carnival, family picnics, holiday parties etc.).

The RPC program at G.A. strives to provide solution focused trauma-informed support to the whole family, no matter if they are in crisis or just trying to establish connections within the post-adoptive/guardian/kinship community. We provide engaging care for youth, caregivers, siblings, and positive chances for relationship building.
