Service Eligibility: Residents of Onondaga County (age 55 and over) caring for children (age 18 and younger).

The Relatives Acting as Parent Program (RAPP) serves relatives, mainly grandparents, age 55 or older who are raising children that are not their own. This program provides support groups and respite activities to caregivers in Onondaga County.

Services Include:

  • Monthly Support meetings for Seniors
    • Coffee & Conversation (with other RAPP participants) – Learn about community resources
    • Location: Pioneer Homes Coffee House – 1001 South McBride Street
  • Monthly Family Activities
    • Activities include trips to the Zoo, Museums, Apple Picking, NYS Fair, and more!
