The Youth Bureau’s vision is to enrich the lives of all children, youth and families by promoting an array of positive youth development services, opportunities and supports.

Since 1974, the Rockland County Youth Bureau has been a community resource dedicated to an active and assertive process of creating the social conditions that promote the well-being of children, youth and families. The Youth Bureau is a public planning, funding, advocacy and coordinating agency for youth and family programs in the County of Rockland. It is responsible for advocating on behalf of all children and youth, maintaining current information on youth needs, promoting Positive Youth Development Principles & Philosophy, and allocating state funds for youth and family programs. The Rockland County Youth Employment Program (YEP), including T.E.E.N. Works, and the Rockland Conservation & Service Corps are the two direct service programs offered by the Youth Bureau.
