Flanagan Center, 3rd Floor The Huntington Drug & Alcohol Counseling / Education Center is a state licensed, outpatient chemical dependency treatment prevention provider. We are a community based, not-for-profit agency licensed and funded by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services, in conjunction with Suffolk County and the Town of Huntington. We offer individual, group, couples, and family counseling to individuals who are abusing substances, those who are at risk of becoming drug involved, and their families. Prevention Services include presentations in schools and throughout the community on various health-related topics. We provide services in Spanish as well. Eligibility: Eligible individuals are experiencing problems related to substance use, are at-risk to begin problematic substance use, and family members/significant others affected by the substance use of another. Fees: Most insurance, including Medicaid, are accepted, and no one is turned away as sliding scale fees are enacted for those uninsured and underinsured. Initial assessment fee is $50, which includes a psychiatric evaluation. Appointments: We are committed to scheduling appointments promptly. *We have no waiting list* Collaboration: We work with attorneys, probation, CPS, local prescribers, and other agencies.
