Eligibility: Serves non-parent caregivers of children with no formal legal designation, legal custody, legal guardianship, and post-adoptive families, residing in Herkimer, Oneida, Otsego, Schoharie counties. (foster parents are not eligible for assistance through this program)

The Neighborhood Center offers resources to strengthen families and prevent foster care or other out-of-home placements.

Services include:

• Home visits
• Connection to area resources
• Workshops and groups for adults and children: The groups provide opportunities to discuss topics such as parenting, trauma, and loss.
